The Little Ranch Farm in Santa Fe, Texas, offers photographers a private mini-session location conveniently situated between Houston and Galveston. With six private acres, more than 30 photography locations, original seasonal sets, specialty add-ons, and exclusive rental time, the farm was created to help photographers offer memorable sessions without having to build an entire experience themselves.

Photographers may arrive to find another session using the same area, an event occupying the property, people walking through the background, limited parking, or unexpected restrictions. During popular fall and Christmas dates, several photographers may be competing for the same small section of flattering light.
The Little Ranch Farm is private property and available by appointment only.
Standard rental time is reserved exclusively for you and your clients. This gives you the freedom to create without waiting for another photographer to finish, moving around crowds, or worrying that someone will walk directly through the background during a ten-minute session.

No Additional Mini-Session Fee
Photographers are welcome to use their farm rental for mini sessions.
The Little Ranch Farm does not charge an additional fee because you are photographing several clients during your reserved time. Your hourly rental may be divided into mini sessions, regular portrait sessions, branding appointments, or another eligible photography schedule.
Whether you plan three longer sessions or a full calendar of shorter minis, your reserved time belongs to you.
All client appointments, photographer setup, and breakdown must fit within the booked rental period, so photographers should reserve enough time to comfortably manage the complete event.
Seasonal Sets Without Building Them Yourself
Fall and Christmas mini sessions often require photographers to invest in furniture, florals, trees, props, lumber, fabric, and décor before booking a single client.
Then everything must be transported, installed, maintained, taken apart, and stored when the season ends.
The Little Ranch Farm offers original seasonal and themed installations as add-ons to eligible farm rentals. Each set is designed by photographer and owner Natasha Snyder with the finished images in mind.
Scale, seating, color, lighting, composition, and client flow are all considered during the design process. My husband and I build, install, style, and maintain the sets here on our family property.
Photographers can offer a complete seasonal experience without carrying the full expense and workload of building it independently.
When you reserve a seasonal installation, you are not limited to photographing only that set. Your rental still includes access to the standard farm locations available during your reserved time.
Easy Client Arrival and Departure

The Little Ranch Farm has a designated parking area and wrap-around driveway that make it easier for clients to arrive, park, and leave throughout the rental.
Clients should be provided with your scheduled appointment time and instructions before the event. Encourage each family to arrive early enough to park and prepare, but not so early that several clients gather at the same photography location.
A restroom is available near the parking area for photographers and clients. Because this is a working farm, the restroom is functional but not climate-controlled.
Clear communication before the session helps families know what to expect and keeps your day moving smoothly.
Designed for Families and Children
Mini sessions frequently involve young children who may not want to sit perfectly still in an unfamiliar place.

Many of the farm’s primary outdoor photography areas—including the greenhouse, vintage truck, pond, and other featured locations—are backlit during the morning as the sun rises from the back-left side of the property.
Some locations receive more direct afternoon light before returning to softer shade closer to sunset and golden hour. Light changes with the season, tree coverage, and placement of current installations.
Photographers planning a particular style are welcome to ask about light direction before choosing their rental time.
Morning sessions can be especially helpful during warmer months, while evening rentals provide the soft, golden light many photographers prefer for families, maternity, seniors, and couples.
Give Yourself a Schedule Buffer
