Something New Is Coming to The Little Ranch Farm: Introducing The Farm Collections
If you've followed The Little Ranch Farm for any length of time, you probably already know one thing about me: I am always creating something.
A wall gets built. A greenhouse gets rearranged. Furniture gets dragged across the property. Candles appear by the hundreds. My husband gets handed another idea that probably started with, “Okay, hear me out...” 😂
Creating has always been one of my favorite parts of this little farm.
Over the years, The Little Ranch Farm in Santa Fe, Texas has grown into a photography location filled with places photographers can use to create something beautiful for their clients. We have the greenhouse, vintage truck, pond and dock, barn areas, porches, little buildings, open fields and so many other corners of the property that have taken on a life of their own.
And somewhere along the way, something else happened.
I realized how much I missed creating some things for my own photography.
So, I'm changing things a little.
Don't worry—The Little Ranch Farm isn't going anywhere.
The farm will continue to be available as a photography rental location near Houston and Galveston County, and photographers will still be able to rent the property on select dates throughout the year.
But some of the bigger transformations you'll begin seeing around here will be different.
Instead of every elaborate setup automatically becoming another photographer rental set, I'm setting aside some of those ideas for something new:
The Farm Collections.
The Farm Collections will be a rotating series of limited seasonal portrait experiences photographed exclusively by Natasha Snyder Photography right here at The Little Ranch Farm.
And I am ridiculously excited about them.
These aren't going to be the same setups sitting around all year.
Each season, I'll choose several areas of the farm and completely reimagine them. Different colors. Different textures. Different furniture. Different details. And probably an unreasonable number of candles if we're being realistic. 😂
Then, after that season ends?
We change it again.
Four seasons. Four completely different collections.
Going forward, the Farm Collections will follow the seasons:
Winter Collection — December, January & February
Spring Collection — March, April & May
Summer Collection — June, July & August
Fall Collection — September, October & November
That means there will always be something new on the horizon.
While one collection is being photographed, I'll already be working behind the scenes on the next one.
And because each collection is only available for a limited time, these won't feel like the traditional photography sets we've offered in the past. They're meant to be complete portrait experiences—something created specifically for that moment and that season.
And we're starting with Winter.
The first official Farm Collection will be The Winter Collection, available December 2026 through February 2027.
And the first experience I'm revealing is one that has become incredibly special to me:
The Winter Sonata at The Piano House.
If you've seen our Piano House before, you already know it's one of the more unique spaces here on the farm. We actually built the entire structure specifically to showcase the piano and those amazing HUGE etched-glass windows. It has quickly become one of my favorite places on the property to photograph, and I knew it had to be part of the very first Farm Collection.
For Winter Sonata, I'm transforming it with deep burgundy, warm creams, greenery, vintage sheet music, soft textures and a whole lot of candlelight. And when I say a lot of candles... I mean a lot.
It's warm, romantic and completely different from Christmas. And because this is South Texas, there will be no pretending we're suddenly living in a snowy winter wonderland. 😂 I want these collections to feel seasonal while still making sense for the farm and for where we actually live.
It's moody and romantic without being Christmas. It's warm without pretending South Texas suddenly became a snowy winter wonderland. And that's important to me.
I want these seasonal portrait sessions to still feel like us.
Like this farm.
Like Texas.
This also means a little change for photographer rentals.
Because I know my photographer friends are going to ask—and because I'd rather answer it here before my inbox explodes 😂—the specialty setups created specifically for The Farm Collections will not be available as photographer rental sets.
The Little Ranch Farm will absolutely continue offering photographer rentals in Santa Fe, Texas, including access to the farm locations and any seasonal rental areas specifically listed on our Photographer Rentals page.
The difference is simply that the Farm Collections are their own thing.
They are limited portrait experiences created and photographed exclusively through Natasha Snyder Photography.
This lets me continue offering the farm as a creative space for other photographers while also giving myself room to create something completely different for my own clients.
And truthfully?
I'm really excited about that balance.
And then we do it all over again.
This is probably what I'm most excited about. I don't want to create something beautiful and then leave it sitting there forever. Part of the fun for me is coming up with the idea, figuring out how in the world we're going to make it happen, photographing it, and then eventually changing it into something completely different.
So while everyone is enjoying the Winter Collection, I'll already be working on Spring behind the scenes. When Spring arrives, Winter comes down and the farm gets another makeover. Then we'll do it again for Summer, Fall and eventually a completely new Winter Collection.
It gives me an excuse to keep creating, which anyone who knows me knows I certainly don't need. 😂 But it also means you'll be able to come back to the farm throughout the year and find something completely different waiting for you.
And yes, I've already started planning Spring. Because apparently I have no ability to finish one idea before getting excited about the next one. 😂
Want first dibs?
I've created a Farm Collection First-Dibs List for anyone who wants to know what's coming before everyone else.
I'll use it to share sneak peeks, upcoming collection reveals, new photography dates and early booking access as each new season approaches.
And if you're a photographer looking for information about renting The Little Ranch Farm for your own sessions, don't worry—you still have your own place too.
I can't wait to show you what we're creating.
And considering I'm writing this before sunrise while waiting for enough daylight to go feed everybody on the farm...
I'd say we're officially getting started. ❤️
